My First Days in the Heart of France

Hey, hello there, friend!

Bonjour from Paris! I'm thrilled to share my experiences from my first days in this enchanting city. Despite the nine-hour time difference and the exhaustion from the long flight, I've explored some new places and revisited my favorite spot, Montmartre.

I'm staying with my childhood friend from Brazil, who has lived in Paris for ten years. Her warm hospitality has made my transition much easier. She's also been an incredible guide, showing me around and ensuring I experience Paris at its best. See the photos in the gallery below!

The first day, I was exhausted from the flight and the jet lag hit hard. I slept a lot but managed to explore her neighborhood, Place de la Bastille. It's a vibrant area with so much history and charm.

We cooked a delicious lunch together the next day before heading out to Musée Carnavalet. This museum is dedicated to the history of Paris, and I absolutely loved the garden and its surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a great coffee and some quiet reflection.

A Stroll Through Montmartre

From there, we walked to my favorite little place, Montmartre here in France. This area never fails to charm me with its artistic vibe and picturesque streets. It feels both familiar and new every time I visit.

We then took the metro to watch the sunset at the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, the park was closed due to preparations for the upcoming Olympics, and we could only admire the tower from a distance. Still, the view was breathtaking.

Coming Up

I'm set to leave for Château Orquevaux on Friday. My train departs at noon, and it's a three-hour trip. Everything is ready, and I'm excited for this next adventure.

Tomorrow, we plan to visit Lake Sena and explore its hidden gems. I'm sure it will be another day filled with beautiful discoveries.

Stay Connected and Support My Art

Stay tuned for more updates! Let me know if you'd like to receive a postcard from me. You can also support my studio practice while I'm away. I've prepared a few sponsorship packages, with each tier offering some amazing art that I'll create here. Check it out here!

Traveling has always been my favorite way to gain new perspectives and exchange cultural backgrounds. I can't wait to see where this French art experience will take my creativity. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

À bientôt!

Color Your Life!

Love,

Drica
