When I think about my collectors, my heart fills with gratitude. Over the past decade, I’ve been privileged to see my art transform spaces into homes filled with vibrancy, warmth, and joy. Right now, I’m back home in Brazil, and every time I’m here, I reconnect with the little Drica who started painting at the age of 10. My family still has so many of my early artworks, and it’s incredible to see them again. I actually started selling my paintings when I was 16, offering them as gifts for the holidays to my family. My cousins, my aunties, my mom—they all have pieces of my early artistic journey, like a time capsule of where it all began. Seeing these paintings now, alongside the work I create today, reminds me of how far I’ve come, but also of the pure joy I felt putting paint to canvas as a child.
