Adding a splash of art to Manhattan Beach

Hello, hello, friend!

In the heart of Manhattan Beach, a creative wave is sweeping through the streets, transforming ordinary utility boxes into canvases of artistic expression. I'm beyond excited to share that my artwork has been chosen to be a part of The Utility Box Beautification Project, an inspiring initiative led by the City Council and Cultural Arts Commission. This endeavor celebrates the incredible talent of local artists.

The Vision Behind the Project:

Initiated under the visionary leadership of the City Council, The Utility Box Beautification Project aims to turn mundane utility boxes into distinctive works of art. Supervised and facilitated by the dedicated team at the Cultural Arts Commission and city staff, this project is a testament to the city's commitment to fostering creativity and community pride.

My Artistic Journey:

From the moment I learned about the project, I was eager to contribute to the visual transformation of Manhattan Beach. The opportunity to showcase my art in such a public and impactful way is truly an honor. As an artist, I believe in the power of art to inspire, connect, and beautify. My chosen design reflects the perfect beach scene, aiming to resonate with the community and contribute to the unique tapestry of Manhattan Beach.

The Impact on the Community:

Public art can bring people together, spark conversations, and create a sense of identity within a community. The Utility Box Beautification Project celebrates the rich artistic talent in Manhattan Beach. It sends a powerful message against graffiti, promoting a cleaner and more visually appealing cityscape. As each utility box is transformed into a unique masterpiece, our streets become an open-air gallery, showcasing the diversity and creativity that defines our community.

Join the Celebration:

I invite you to join in the celebration of art and community pride! Stroll through Manhattan Beach's streets and discover the beauty that emerges from the utility boxes. Share your thoughts, photos, and experiences on social media using the hashtag #MBBoxArt. Let's celebrate the power of art to transform and uplift our community.

My art is in the corner of Sepulveda and Manhattan Beach Blvd, in front of Wells Fargo, and across Target in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The Utility Box Beautification Project is more than just a public art program; it's a testament to the collaborative spirit of Manhattan Beach and the belief that art has the power to create positive change. I'm grateful to be part of this transformative journey and look forward to seeing how these art-infused utility boxes become integral to our city's identity.
